The event has reached Day3 with only 79 players left in the hunt for the $1,567,100.
The $10,300 Main Event attracted a total of 865 players, who created a prize pool of $8,390,500. The field was a great mixture of pros and recreational players, who are all aiming on the $1.5 million top prize, with $21K already guaranteed for them.
Pierre Calamusa from France is the current chip leader, with a massive stack of 1,500,000. Pierre is followed by Spain’s Vincent Bosca, who will return with 1,138,000.
There are a number of household names still in, some of them with hefty chips in front of them: Matthias Eibinger (894,000), Brian Altman (746,000), Joao Simao (734,000) Franz Ditz (732,000), Christopher Vogelsang (558,000) and Matt Berkey (306,000).
The champion of the $100,000 Super High Roller, Sam Greenwood will also return, but he’ll need to have a good start, considering his modest 57,000 stack.
The action will continue at level 17 with blinds of 3,000/6,000/6,000 at noon local time.
